How to prepare and deliver an exceptional presentation

Background

Public speaking is one of the most important activities for excelling nowadays.
In this workshop, we learn the three basic foundations of great communication:

 

– How to create and present persuasive content.
How to manage and care for your voice.
How to have a great stage presence.

Agenda

The workshop consists of a one-day in-person session and three half-hour post-event reinforcement video casts.

In-Person Workshop

The Fundamentals

We'll start with a review of a UCLA study on the relative weight of presence, voice, and storytelling in effective presentations.

The Power of a Story

– We continue with what is known as “the hero's journey,” which is the foundation of all great human communication, and we model how to give a great presentation.

3. Body language

We'll continue with a short stage movement workshop.
- We teach body posture and movement.
- We practiced how to project security and confidence to take control of the stage.

4. Expressing your voice

– Later we'll do a mini-workshop on voice.
We'll look at the principles of diaphragmatic breathing.
– How to give volume, tone, and melody to your voice.
– How to identify and control filler words.
– Finally, we teach a voice strengthening exercise to expand our
spectrum and to ensure the health of the vocal cords.

5. Integrating everything

– Now we'll analyze how to prepare for an exceptional presentation.
The essay.
– Managing stage fright.
How to mentally prepare for success.
– First group assignment in fours: Share. What new opportunities does managing your body and voice offer for communication?

6. Your life's presentation

– Second team assignment: Share a personal success story, integrating what you've learned.
– How to prepare and deliver a great presentation.
– The art and science of persuasion.
The six-step methodology.
– Third team assignment: Preparation and presentation of an executive presentation by the team.
– Presentation evaluations.
– Using preset formats, the instructor and participants evaluate each presentation based on voice, presence, and story.
– Closure and next steps.
– Review of the most important points.
– Invitation to the usual essay on the topics discussed.
– Inform the calendar of virtual follow-up sessions.

– Presentation slides.
Evaluation formats.
Record voice exercises.

Reinforcement Videocasts

– Post-discharge, three follow-up sessions are scheduled at one month, two months, and three months.
Each presentation is streamed to the workshop participants.
Include Q&A session.
