The time has come to claim our origins, values, and capabilities. The time has come to build \u00abThe Third Nation*\u00bb.<\/p>\n
What is the Third Nation? It is the union of Mexicans and Mexican Americans, united economically, socially, and ideologically. A symbiosis that capitalizes on the value of our people and lays the foundation for the creation of a new, large-scale socioeconomic power.<\/p>\n
Enough with the discrimination against Mex-Americans and the marginalization of the 40% segment of our population. The key to a bright future lies in creating the tools that will enable social mobility and foster a strong middle class.<\/p>\n
Today, as the world looks to Mexico as the great promise of \u00abnearshoring,\u00bb the greatest opportunity in history exists for us. We must unite the productive force of Mexican Americans with the valuable resource of Mexican youth and create an unprecedented new economic model that will form The Third Nation.<\/p>\n
The model begins with Mexican Americans looking to Mexico as their strategic ally. The cradle of their origins, with which they still maintain deep ties. <\/p>\n
An important fact: this community of more than 38 million people has purchasing power nearly equal to Mexico\u2019s GDP. They have resources. Remittances account for only 4% of their purchasing power and investment capacity.<\/p>\n
This is about drawing on our grit. About opening our eyes and building an unprecedented socio-economic model together for the world.<\/p>\n
Mexican Americans are super entrepreneurial, and they consume a large quantity of products and services. We need to capitalize on Mexico's productive capacity and the captive market in the United States. And instead of continuing to buy these products and services from third parties, let's build our own supply chain. Let's build our own circular economy. Let's be the owners of the economic model, let's manage every single phase of the business ourselves. <\/p>\n
Now, I already hear some disbelievers saying that Mexico does not have the required quality of labor. Allow me to remind you that the automotive industry ranks Mexican labor as one of the best in the world for its talent, ability, and dedication. By simply giving our people in Mexico the opportunity to grow and earn a good living, the same thing happens as with Mexican Americans on the other side of the border. With the right incentive, we are top-notch.<\/p>\n
I invite you to visualize this scenario: suddenly, our community, composed of Mexicans and Mexican-Americans, is a co-owner of the productive engine that provides goods and services to our captive, high-purchasing-power market in the United States and Canada. We own the virtuous cycle that the consumer ALREADY possesses, and we strategically produce what this market buys and will buy. With just one difference, this is a virtuous strategic model that generates wealth on both sides of the border and lays the foundation for unprecedented sustainable development.<\/p>\n
How to shape it?<\/p>\n
This is a call for associations on both sides of the border to unite for the same purpose: to generate wealth and well-being for their members in Mexico, the United States, and Canada. This is the kind of initiative that makes sense and gives associations teeth so that people join, work, and thrive.<\/p>\n
It is also a call to Mexican and Mexican-American companies and entrepreneurs to redirect their foundations and social programs so that, instead of donating money as a loss to vulnerable groups, they enable the movement by contributing knowledge, contacts, and logistics to contribute to the success of the Third Nation initiative.<\/p>\n
Likewise, it is a call to financial institutions and fintechs to create financial instruments and investment funds to boost, facilitate, and ensure certainty in the movement.<\/p>\n
And to give soul to the movement, it is also a call to educational institutions and communicators. Let's launch a permanent campaign for coherence, development, and equity. A campaign that highlights the value of our people on both sides of the border. On one hand, to showcase the extraordinary achievement thanks to the tenacity of Mexican Americans, which has made them the leading minority in the most powerful nation in the world. And on the other, to our roots based on family and a cultural richness that we should be very, very proud of.<\/p>\n
Let's go out and communicate it! And let's build university careers so our daughters and sons can take this movement to the next level.<\/p>\n
If we do this, we will become a world power. A respected power with its own identity. A power that owns its destiny. A power in which productivity, rather than submission and corruption, is the currency.<\/p>\n
The future we all desire is within reach. All that's needed is willingness. Are you ready to build The Third Nation together? Let's go.<\/p>\n
